Hello dear parents! My name is Pascale. I have two daughters and two wonderful grandchildren. My youngest daughter shares my passion for working with children and is also a childcare worker. I believe it is important to teach children through play and to help them develop their social skills. I’m quite sporty myself: I enjoy walking, cycling, and going to the gym every week. I’m really looking forward to starting the new school year and getting to know many new faces!

Hello, my name is Jamila! I work as a childcare worker for after-school care with the kindergarten children at ’t Beverke, and I combine this with my job at the group daycare Het Vlasbloempje. In addition, I study Social-Agogic Work, specializing in Social Work. I am the mother of three adult daughters and have been happily working at the Kindercentrum for ten years now – proof that I do my job with heart and soul. Together with your children, I want to make every school year both enjoyable and educational.

Crafting and playing with the children are the things I love most. I also enjoy sports, music, dance, traveling, and discovering other cultures. In my free time, I like designing and sewing clothes. I also find a pleasant chat with the children’s parents very valuable. I look forward to getting to know you and your children better!

Hello, I’m Vera. I’ve been working with children for almost 40 years. In Belarus, I was a music teacher, kindergarten teacher, and Montessori educator. Since 2016, I’ve been working at Kindercentrum as a childcare worker at BKO.

I have many hobbies: music, knitting, sewing, crafting — and I also have a Labrador dog. I love playing, crafting, singing, and dancing with the children! I do my work with love, both for my profession and for the kids.

Hey! I’m June, born in 2004. I graduated as a teacher and I’m currently studying Social Work. I find it important to stay active in the field alongside my studies and to combine my knowledge and interests with my job as a childcare worker. I’m sporty and creative, and I love keeping busy and trying new things. But I also enjoy a quiet moment in the sun with a homemade iced tea. ☺️

What do I love most about working with children? Sometimes, they make you feel like a child again! Playing together, laughing, getting creative and being amazed by the smallest things. I love joining in with their enthusiasm and creating fun moments together!

Hi everyone, I’m Griet, your regular childcare worker at BKO ’t Hemelke. Together with my husband and our two children, I live in Hulste. I have been working at the Childcare Centre since 2020. Because I enjoy working with children so much, watching them grow through play, seeing their honesty, their unique view of the world, and the humour that comes with it, I hope to continue doing this job for many years to come! Children who stay at school for lunch will also see me there, as I supervise the dining hall and the playground during the lunch break. I think it is very important that children know they can always come to me if something is wrong. I love walking in nature, especially in Switzerland, where I go on holiday every year with my family. Dear all, My name is Bénédicte and I live in Sint-Eloois-Vijve. I’m the mum of Julie and the grandmother of two adorable little girls, Estée and Clémence.

I’ve been a permanent member of the Kindercentrum team for many years. Working with children, playing and learning together has been a goal of mine from a young age! Every day brings a new adventure. 😉 Whenever I can, I love finding some peace and quiet by the sea. Cooking is also something that brings me peace, as I love taking good care of the people who are close to me. And let’s not forget… children remind you that the little things in life can be the biggest things of all!

Hey! I’m Sara, a childcare worker at Pompoentje.

I’ve been working with children for several years in different settings, including children’s activities, youth work and residential care. Their spontaneity, honesty, imagination and unique view of the world continue to surprise me every time. After a long day at school, I believe it’s important that children can simply be children. Childcare is their free time, and it should feel that way too. Playing, discovering, imagining, experimenting, doing nothing for a while or spontaneously coming up with an idea: I believe there should be room for all of it. I believe that every child has their own pace, interests and personality, and that they should be given the space to be themselves. I also love being creative and trying out new things. Seeing children enjoy coming to Pompoentje, feel comfortable being themselves and go home with a happy feeling — that’s what gives me the most satisfaction.

Hey! My name is Evi, proud mom of Gaston and Linette. Creativity flows through my whole being, and my passion for illustrating and designing is a big part of my life. After graduating as a graphic designer, I further developed my skills and love bringing my ideas to life. My third “child” is my project, Studio A-la-carte.

Besides my love for design, I’m also a big fan of DIY projects and interior decorating. Transforming spaces and creating a warm, personal atmosphere in our home gives me great satisfaction.

Every day, I try to express my creativity and create an inspiring environment for both my family and the children and colleagues at the after-school care.

In September, you’ll also see Norah, our student employee, at Het Biezebos, where she’ll be working alongside Evi. She’s looking forward to getting to know all the children and becoming part of the team!

I don’t have a fixed location, as I help wherever I’m needed! I have a very big heart for both little and big children, and I have no problem bringing out my inner child when the moment calls for it.
