About kindercentrum and Kiki


Kindercentrum provides high-quality childcare for children aged 0 to 12 as a fundamental social service for parents.

Children feel comfortable and thrive in our care, as we provide them with maximum opportunities for development across various domains. The needs of the children are at the heart of our daily practices. In an atmosphere of trust, we embrace this mission in shared responsibility with the parents, with respect for each individual’s uniqueness and diversity. We consider children as guides in their own development and parents as educational partners.

In 5 years, we aim to be:


• A warm, caring, and trusting organization for children, employees, and parents.
• A place for growth for children, employees, and parents.

o For children, we create a positive and enriching living environment.
o Through a talent-oriented approach, we coach employees in their growth towards expertise and quality.
o For parents, we are a trusted partner in the upbringing of their child(ren).

• A vibrant organization where everyone dares to be creative and co-create, including children, employees, and parents.
• A streamlined organization characterized by clear communication, efficient processes, clear task distribution, quality working conditions, and good employment terms.
• We work with a quality label for before-and-after school care Activities in collaboration with local authorities and other leisure providers.
• A reliable and warm basic service that operates within the context of "early and nearby" and the philosophy of the first 1000 days (*). In this regard, we are open to collaboration with other care partners.
• A growth of at least 50%. This is necessary to be a financially healthy and stable care provider and employer within the childcare sector.

 

(*)The first 1000 days of a child, from conception to their second birthday, are crucial for their development and determine their opportunities in later life. An integrated policy during this period is important for the following reasons: 1) to provide unborn and born children with an optimal start. 2) to address social inequality in terms of health. 3) to seize opportunities to support families. 4) because investing in this period has the greatest impact and long-term benefits.

Have you met Kiki yet?

 

Our mascot Kiki was born on September 24, 2022, in celebration of our 50th anniversary. Kiki will play a significant role in our future vision.

Kiki has already had the opportunity to meet many children for the first time at Plopsaland De Panne. Kiki was warmly welcomed and together we danced and sang! What a celebration it was!
